A Cinematic View of Germany in Autumn

We have really enjoyed our very first autumn season in Germany! We’ve gotten to try new foods like Apfelkuchen and made Herbstdeko (fall decorations) with Salzteig (salt dough). We played in the leaves, taught the kids how to chop wood, and made many fires in the stove. We’ve gone on many beautiful hikes on the trails Germany has all throughout the countryside.

Mid to late October is when the trees became absolutely RADIANT. It has been a joy to watch the seasons change so we captured it all on the camera so you could enjoy it, too. We hope this video is a sweet reminder to stop and notice the beauty that is all around you in nature. Germany is a very beautiful country!

Our Story

In February 2021, we packed up our American family of six, with four kids ages 11 and under, and moved halfway across the world to Germany to follow our dream of living in Europe again! When we were first married, we lived for two years in France and fell in love with the European way of life. Moving to Germany has been a whirlwind, especially with four kids in tow, but we’re already growing stronger and better from the experiences we are having. It has NOT been easy, but that’s how it usually is in life when you go after your dreams!
