Summer Fun in Germany for our American Kids

Our very first summer as an American family in Germany has been a success! Here are the reasons why we feel German is inviting and FUN for families and kids in the summertime!

Our Kids Had a Wonderful First Summer in Germany

We’ve done so many fun things and have found that attractions for families and children are widely available AND affordable! We wanted to share with you what we’ve been doing this summer with our children. If you’re wanting to move to Germany and have children, we hope this will be a helpful video. From Freizeitparks, to Kletterwalds, to Schwimmbads, to castles, and Kinder museums, Germany offers a lot of fun for children.

Our Story

In February 2021, we packed up our American family of six, with four kids ages 11 and under, and moved halfway across the world to Germany to follow our dream of living in Europe again! When we were first married, we lived for two years in France and fell in love with the European way of life. Moving to Germany has been a whirlwind, especially with four kids in tow, but we’re already growing stronger and better from the experiences we are having. It has NOT been easy, but that’s how it usually is in life when you go after your dreams!
