Our family had the opportunity to visit Austria’s stunning Salzkammergut region, and what an adventure it turned out to be! Located in the heart of Austria, the region offered the perfect backdrop for our outdoor exploration. We set out to hike the majestic mountains and visit the awe-inspiring ice caves, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the region’s natural beauty and felt the thrill of adventure in the air. Join us as we share our experiences and highlights from our unforgettable trip to Austria’s stunning Salzkammergut region.
Giant Ice Caves, Glaciers, Hikes, and More!
Come along with us as we visit giant ice caves, hike near glaciers, swim and play in Hallstättersee, and have an incredible time in Austria’s Salzkammergut region in the Dachstein mountain range! I think Austria’s Alps are sometimes underrated. Many Americans think of Switzerland when they think of the Alps, and they are magnificent there as well. But it is more affordable to vacation in Austria, and you still get nearly the same experience as in the Swiss Alps. We LOVE this region of the world and aren’t done exploring it just yet!
In the first video in this series, we visited Hallstatt, which you can watch here.
